Republic Services - $70 Bill

Dear Valley Park Owners, It has come to my attention today, 6Oct, that several owners/residents received a $70 bill with Valley Park HOA as the addressee, but sent to individual Dancing Horses addresses. My first recommendation is that if you don't recognize this bill, such as it's not for your personal recycling account with Republic Services, then don't pay it. At any rate you should investigate the reason for the bill. I have seen a handful of bills, presented by 5 owners and all had different account numbers. Furthermore the account numbers don't match the HOA's Republic Services account. Although the contract number appears to match minus some characters in parentheses. Additionally, thus far all five owners didn't have a Republic Services trash totes to begin with and therefore nothing was removed, as falsely stated in the bill. This is relatively substantiated by the "complaint" email I received from Republic Services Territory Executive, stating only a few totes were even picked up. Below is a screenshot example of the bill. However, since I've come to realize that when the association management company, RowCal, forwards these emails on my behalf, the file sometimes shows up as a long alpha-numeric stream of characters, so I also asked that the file be attached. Please compare it to what you receive, presuming you received one. image.png Basically it appears Republic Services is attempting to make up for lost revenue, by one raising the price for tote removal, but also, by sending bills erroneously to individuals in the 89 homes that make up Valley Park. If your an owner-renter or a property management, please reach out to your tenants to save them the trouble of paying unnecessarily. Please send your feedback to ValleyParkOwnersAssociation@gmail.com. Thank you for your time and help.

Trash Service

American Sanitation is now the trash removal company. If you require assistance with trash removal, please notify the HOA at ValleyParkOwnersAssociation@gmail.com Our trash day is still Monday, and the bins need to be outside by 7:00 a.m. please.

Trash/Recycling

If you forgot to put your Republic trash tote out or otherwise still have a Republic trash tote, then please put it at the curb, so I can collect them en masse to remove this thorn from my side. Additionally, if you're getting feedback from Republic that you can't cancel your recycling without contacting the HOA, then email the board at the address below. Be assured, that your recycling account is yours and not the HOA's. I'm not sure how the operators at Republic cannot understand this. The HOA is not involved with recycling. I personally had no issues canceling, but I'm hearing from multiple individuals that Republic is telling them to contact the HOA. I am waiting for a reply from Republic's new territorial executive, as the last executive is no longer with Republic. I know nearly half the 89 homes are ready to make the switch to American Sanitation recycling or simply don't have/want recycling. The current cost/data for American is below, however, the free Colorado state-managed program is still projected to start in October. I scheduled my Republic recycling to end on 28 September in time to start the new program in October. This is up to the individual, please make the best decision for you and your situation. If you need help, email the HOA address below, otherwise, reach out to American Sanitation directly to establish an account and start date via their website at https://americansanitationinc.com/ or via email at info@americansanitationinc.com or phone at (719) 678-1974 Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Here is American Sanitations recycling information by the numbers: Recycling Service – (Prior to CAA taking over in Colorado) • One (1) 96-gallon single-stream recycling toter per home • Bi-weekly Monday curbside service • Only $5.00 per toter per month (at residents’ expense) (After CAA takes over Colorado – Recycling free to all customers and educational materials available) Any questions or concerns that the HOA can help with, please email ValleyParkOwnersAssociation@gmail.com. Have a nice week!
